There are some amazing Xbox One X bundles in the Boxing Day sales

When the Xbox One X launched, it cost an eyebrow-raising £450, and that didn’t come with any games at all. Now Microsoft has wisely cut the price, as there are a number of appealing options for those wanting to enjoy some smooth 4K gaming from the comfort of their sofa. In short, no matter which bundle you opt for, you’re going to get the console plus a handful of top games for well below the console’s original RRP. The most appealing deal for my money comes straight from the Microsoft official store. There, for a penny under £400, you can get the 1TB Xbox One X with Battlefield V, Gears of War 4 and your choice of Red Dead Redemption 2, Forza Horizon 4, FIFA 19 or Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 . But that’s not all: on top of this, you get one month of EA Access (play a whole bunch of EA’s hits free of charge), Xbox Game Pass (same deal with more games) and 14 days of Xbox Live Gold. That is a very good deal indeed. However, if you want to pay a tenner more and prefer more games for your buck, then it’s worth turning your eye to Currys. There, you can get the 1TB Xbox One X with Forza Horizon 4, Forza Motorsport 7, Project Cars 2, Tekken 7, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Fallout 76 for £409.99 . True, it’s quite heavy on the driving games, but mathematically it’s hard to argue that six games is better than three (although you don’t get the trial of EA Access of Xbox Games Pass here). Finally, if neither of those bundles sounds appealing, or if you’re not sure what games you want, Amazon also has an appealing option. For £399.99, you can get what the company calls the ‘starter bundle’, which comes with three months of Xbox Live and Game Pass as well as Red Dead Redemption 2 . Whichever you choose, you’re in for a good experience. The Xbox One, now in its fifth year, has really matured as a console. And with its backwards compatibility to a growing selection of Xbox 360 games, you’re unlikely to be short of excellent games to play. Buy now from Microsoft
