Black Friday used to be a single day. Then it expanded into Cyber Monday for a long weekend of deals. Now it has become a three-week extravaganza with retailers competing to best each other with huge discounts. If you’re looking for Microsoft deals, you’ve come to the right place. They may be a bit thin on the ground, but keep an eye on this page which we’ll be updating all the way through the discount season, up to and including Black Friday itself.
Here’s our pick of the best Black Friday Microsoft deals
1. Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 (up to £200 off)
Its only been out a month, and already the Surface Laptop 2 can be had at a bargain price – which is good, because the only thing stopping us giving it a very solid thumbs up was the expense of it. Over at Amazon, almost every configuration is reduced and by as much as £200. The entry-level model – which still packs an i5 processor, 8GB RAM and a 128GB SSD drive – now comes in at just £779. Bargain.

2. Microsoft Surface Go 8GB/128GB SSD (was £510, now £440)
Microsoft’s entry-level member of the Surface family is an impressive little machine – if you buy the version with 8GB RAM. Fortunately, that’s what’s on offer here, with Amazon knocking £70 off the RRP, almost bringing it in line with the £380 you have to pay for the weaker eMMC version with just 4GB RAM. Yes, you’ll have to buy the type cover separately to get the most out of it, but even then, this is as cheap as it gets… Buy now from Amazon
3. Surface Pro 5 reduced at Microsoft (save £150)
The Surface Pro 6 is now out, and while the newest model is a very attractive buy, the 2017 Surface Pro remains a very attractive buy, especially given its longer-lasting battery. Microsoft has begun to clear out its old stock, with discounts on all models. Some of the best deals have already gone (£280 off the Core i5 4GB model would have been nice!) but there are still bargains to be had. Buy now from Microsoft
4. Microsoft Surface Pro 6 i5, 8GB, 256GB SSD (was £1,149, now £1,034.60)
If you have your heart set on the latest and greatest Surface Pro 6, Microsoft currently has the midrange i5 model for £1,034.60 – 10% off its official retail price. Coming with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, it’s the same model we reviewed here. In other words, it’s excellent – and even better with the discount. Buy now from Amazon
5. Xbox One S 1TB, with Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Overwatch, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and two months of Now TV – £264.99
There aren’t too many Black Friday Xbox One bundles out there at the moment, though we expect that to change soon. In the meantime, this bundle from Game is pretty great value: three games plus two months of Now TV for £264.99 is a £44.98 saving, and plenty to be getting on with. Buy now from Game
6. Microsoft Surface Book 2 Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD (was £1,499, now £1,299)
Microsoft's ambitious laptop-cum-tablet convertible is immensely powerful and capable but it's always been a little overpriced for our taste. Microsoft is helping out with this a little this Black Friday by knocking £200 off the asking price for the 13.5in model with Core i5, 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. It's not quite the deal that the Surface Laptop 2 is but nonetheless this a deal worth putting on your shortlist. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is an excellent machine at this price.
