Quibi is a new video streaming platform that publishes short-form content, or "quick bites," and news. It's targeted for mobile devices and is positioned as a competitor of Netflix, Apple TV, and HBO, among others. We'll fill you in with this article.
What Is Quibi?
Quibi is yet another another new entrant to the steaming market. It hosts high quality short content, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes, created by some of the best filmmakers in Hollywood. Founded in 2018 by a former Disney and DreamWorks executive, it's scheduled for commercial release in April 2020.
Much of the short content will be organized in series. Steven Spielberg has already announced that he's creating a new series that will be exclusively premiered on Quibi. Other top directors, such as Sam Raimi and Guillermo del Toro, are also joining in to produce content for this new platform.
One notable feature of Quibi is "Turnstile", which ensure the best video quality regardless of the orientation of your telephone.
How Much Will Quibi Cost?
Quibi will offer a basic plan, which includes advertising, for $4.99 per month. However, you can skip out on adds with the advanced plan, which is $ 7.99 per month.
