The wait is finally over. OnePlus is once again accepting orders for the OnePlus 3 in Europe and Hong Kong. This news comes almost six weeks after the manufacturer was forced to stop sales of the handset in a little over 20 countries so that it could catch up with overwhelming demand.
Starting today, residents in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain will all be able to order a OnePlus 3 from the firm’s online store.
Unfortunately, we do have a little bit of bad news to report. While the Graphite model of the OnePlus 3 will start shipping to customers immediately, the sought after Soft Gold version will take anywhere up to four weeks to leave the firm’s warehouse in China.
It’s also worth mentioning that this timeframe will increase as more orders fly in. To avoid an even longer waiting time; we’d advise that you head over to OnePlus’ website, add the variant of your choice to your basket, then complete the checkout process as soon as you can.
Touchjet Wave will turn your TV into a giant touchscreen Android tablet, but it needs cash first
If you’ve always wanted to turn your TV into a giant touchscreen display then the Touchjet Wave is an Indiegogo campaign that you’ll want to check out.
The gadget, which promises to turn any ‘dumb’ TV into, essentially, an Android tablet, is looking to raise $100,000 and is planning to start shipping units out by March next year to the earliest backers.
In a nutshell, it’s a tiny Android device that clips to the top of your TV and uses infra-red to detect finger movements and thereby enable touchscreen functionality. And because it uses infra-red, no user data is captured, which could make it more appealing to anyone concerned about the privacy of their data.
For the unit to work, you’ll need an HDMI input and a display of between 20-inches and 60-inches capable of 720p/1080p at 50/60Hz, or a 4K resolution at 24, 25 or 30Hz.
The Touchjet Wave itself contains a 2.0GHz quad-core ARM 9 Cortext A9 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage and multi-touch support for up to four points simultaneously.
One infra-red stylus is included, and an ‘Air-mouse’ can be purchased for an additional cost. We’ve asked to see how much these will be.
For anyone worried about getting grubby fingerprints all over their television, you don’t actually need to make contact with the screen to register your button ‘presses’, you just need to be near the screen.
If you’re keen – and quick – you can get an Early Bird Wave for $99, with delivery scheduled for March next year. The next tier is $119 for a single wave, and the cheapest pledge to get a pack of two Wave units is $189.

Anki’s phone-controlled slot car racing game goes into Overdrive in the UK next month
Anki , makers of the Drive racing game that lets players control toy cars with their phones, has launched the second version of its popular title with all-new vehicles and a modular track system, and it’s coming to the UK next month.
Overdrive introduces four new futuristic cars to challenge friends with or play against the system’s AI. You can customize your vehicle’s speed, weapons and defenses through in-game upgrades.
The new modular magnetic track system lets you expand it with turns, intersections and ramps by purchasing additional kits.
It’s also backwards compatible, so you can use cars and tracks from the original title in specific game modes.
While Overdrive has just launched in the US and Canada, it will arrive on UK shores on October 6. The company says it will make new features and challenges available for free.
The Overdrive Starter Kit will be available for £149.99 and comes with two supercars and 10 separate modular FlexTrack pieces, allowing gamers to build eight different battle courses. Additional track kits start at about £9.99 and expansion supercars retail at £49.99.
