Microsoft Paint is to be Killed off so let’s Celebrate all its Glory

When Windows 10 users get their latest update , this fall (or Autumn depending on which side of the Atlantic they reside), they’ll find an old stalwart will be missing . After 32 years of being the first program opened on a new Windows PC, Microsoft Paint will no longer be a part of Microsoft Windows.

Although I was never able to create more than a crooked house, this nostalgia soaked application really was a marvel and was capable of creating digital masterpieces . It seems only fitting that, with the news MS Paint’s impending doom, we should celebrate it in all it’s glory .

To do this, we’re going to showcase some of Jim’ll Paint It’s work .  You can find Jim on Facebook where he takes requests. He will draw literally anything you can think of , so let’s take a look at some of his and MS Paint’s classic pieces .

The best MS Paint pictures EVER

Hard to believe that they were all created in MS Paint, but they were.

Whereas MS Paint will no longer be supported on Windows PCs you’ll be glad to hear that Jim has been drawing a virtual machine running Windows XP for years . This means that he’ll be able to keep drawing long after the next Windows 10 update drops.

MS Paint may be dead, but as we’ve learnt from Game of Thrones. What is dead may never die.
