Listen to Apple Music Songs in Offline Mode

Apple Music offers a cheaper alternative to purchasing new songs and albums from iTunes Store. The subscription-based music streaming service gives unlimited access to the entire iTunes library for less than $10 dollars a month.

Furthermore, your Apple Music subscription will enable you to sync your favorite songs, albums, and playlists for offline listening. This quick guide will teach you how to take advantage of this feature.

Before beginning, make sure you have enough storage space on your device to store the synced albums or playlists. An internet connection will also be needed to download the files (preferably WiFi). Open the Music app > Apple Music and browse for the desired song, playlist, or album. Once found, tap on the Ellipsis (...) button displayed next to the selected content and tap Make Available Offline:

Apple Music will then begin downloading the selected content. Tap on the download progress bar displayed at the top your screen to view the status of your current downloads.

N.B. Offline files have a small phone icon displayed next to them. If you'd like to view your offline files, go to My Music > Albums and toggle the Show Music Available Offline switch to On:

You can delete synced content from your music library by tapping on the Ellipsis button > Remove Downloads.
