Apple and Facebook have worked together for a better integration of Facebook into iOS devices. Facebook has become an integral part of everyday life of many people and it is also the case of smartphones. This guide will show you how to get the most out of the Facebook integration with your iPhone.
Prerequisites: Download and install the Facebook app for iOS
Note that the Facebook application for iPhone and iPod Touch is different from the Facebook application for iPad and iPad mini. However, the steps to sync your Facebook data with your mobile device are identical for all iOS devices.
Once you have installed Facebook on your iPhone, follow these simple steps to sync the data:
Log in to your Facebook account using the "Facebook" application on your iPhone.
Go to the iPhone settings> Facebook
Under "Allow These Appd to Use Your Account", turn ON: Calendar Contacts Facebook
Click on "update all contacts"
Facebook will now access your iPhone contact list and it will update your address book with data from your Facebook account. Profile pictures and nicknames will be associated to your contacts. Note that: If you have a large number of contacts it can take a while (up to 10 minutes).
Once this the update is complete, you can verify that you have pictures of your friends associated to their respective entries in the contacts list of your iPhone. Photos of your Facebook contacts will be marked by small "Facebook" icons.
