Whether friend or foe, Hisoka somehow involves himself with Gon’s adventure at almost every turn, and while his impact is undeniable, he’s managed to keep his cards close to his chest since the very beginning.

How Old Is Hisoka?
Hisoka has almost never referred to his past or given away personal information, refusing to reveal even something as simple as his age. While some claim Hisoka is 28 years old, his age has never been stated in any official Hunter x Hunter material. Further, even when other characters' ages are stated, Hisoka's is always listed as 'unknown'.
Many speculate that Hisoka may be in his mid-20s like Illumi Zoldyck, who he seems to have the closest relationship with. But without a clear answer, and considering all of the other strange things about him, he could be anywhere from 25 to 200. What his reason is for withholding his age remains unknown, but fans hope they'll get to eventually see some of what the clown is hiding.

How Tall Is Hisoka?
As is typical for him, Hisoka's exact height is unclear. During the Succession War arc, when the Phantom Troupe is searching for him at Heaven's Arena, Chrollo specifies that they are looking for someone over 6'2". While this is more specific than most other information given about Hisoka, it still doesn't pin down an exact answer.
Fans have often debated whether Chrollo's estimation of Hisoka is reflective of his actual height, or modified to account for his shoes. Though Hisoka is not wearing heeled shoes when he appears for the fight between him and Chrollo, he's worn them in some of his previous outfits. It's not impossible that Chrollo is considering this. But, as he never clarifies, it remains up to fan interpretation.

What Nen Type Is Hisoka
At the beginning of Hunter x Hunter, Hisoka's complicated abilities and combat skills, coupled with his penchant for tricks and manipulation, make it difficult to understand what exactly he can do and how his Nen works. As he tells Gon later, he thinks being vague about his Nen is strategically smarter.
During the Heavens Arc he explains the many uses of his Nen Abilities while Machi fixes his arms, but doesn't actually reveal his Nen type until his fight against Gon. There he states that he's a Transmuter, one of the few concrete facts fans have about him. While transmutation is his natural Nen type, Hisoka's abilities prove that he's also extremely proficient at Conjuration and Emission, and at the very least competent at Enhancement and Manipulation.

How Strong Is Hisoka?
While Hisoka's true power level has never been concretely stated, he has proven himself to be an extremely dangerous opponent and one of the strongest Hunters in the series. Benefiting not only from superior physical prowess and Nen mastery, Hisoka is also incredibly intelligent and able to devise seemingly perfect strategies. He was able to become a Floor Master, kill Single-Star Hunter Bushidora and Zoldyck butler Gotoh, and has defeated multiple Phantom Troupe members.
In the entirety of Hunter x Hunter, Hisoka has only been significantly defeated by one person: Chrollo. However, Hisoka is also able to devise a method for resurrecting himself, arranging a complex system of Nen abilities and effects that successfully bring him back to life despite his body having been completely crushed. So while he ultimately isn't able to kill Chrollo, he does defeat death itself.

What Did Hisoka Whisper To Kurapika?
During the Hunter Exam, Hisoka famously forfeits his match against Kurapika after whispering something into his ear. This comes after Kurapika's eyes turn scarlet, revealing his Kurta heritage. At that moment it is not yet revealed to the audience what exactly Hisoka said or why he suddenly leaves the fight, but it seemed to have a profound effect on Kurapika.
Kurapika later tells his friends that what Hisoka whispered to him during the fight was "I know something interesting about spiders". Kurapika also tells the group that he confronted Hisoka, who told him to meet him in Yorknew in September. Though this occurs at the beginning of the Heaven's Arena arc, this conversation sets the stage for the Yorknew arc, where Kurapika will come head to head with the Spiders for their crimes against his clan.

What Did Hisoka Say To Bodoro?
After Hisoka forfeits his fight against Kurapika in the final exam phase, Bodoro is set as his second opponent. Hisoka's victory is not all that surprising, but the method of his victory has been a mystery since its original depiction. Hisoka whispers something to Bodoro that causes him to forfeit, but what exactly he says has never been revealed.

With Bodoro's subsequent death and Hisoka's typical enigmatic nature, this may never be addressed. However, many fans have theorized that Hisoka may have threatened to harm Gon or Killua if Bodoro didn't forfeit, given that Bodoro had said that he refused to hurt children. Coupled with Hisoka's well-established affinity for extravagant threats, this seems like one of the more well-founded answers to this mystery.

What Episode Does Hisoka Fight Chrollo?
Since the Phantom Troupe's introduction, Hisoka has stated his desire to fight the Spider's Head, Chrollo. Almost all of his interactions with the Troupe are motivated by this goal, including faking his membership and briefly cooperating with the gang. Hisoka and Chrollo are two of the strongest Nen users in Hunter x Hunter, as well as seeming equally matched physically and mentally. Their fight was one of the most anticipated events of the story.
However, because the 2011 anime stops at the end of the Election Arc, the Battle to the Death has yet to be animated. Occurring in some of the last chapters released before the hiatus, it may be a while before fans get to see Chrollo and Hisoka come head-to-head on screen.

What Does Hisoka Want With Gon?
While Hisoka's real intentions remain in doubt, he has actually been reasonably clear about his surface reasons for being involved with Gon. Since his introduction, Hisoka has stated repeatedly that his greatest passion in life is defeating powerful opponents, to the point where he will outright refuse to bother with those he sees as inadequate. Most of his actions in the story have, so far, been at least somewhat in line with this goal.
Upon meeting Gon, Hisoka claimed that he thought he had incredible potential and wanted to see what he would become capable of. So far he's been committed to this statement and has refused to fight Gon, even going so far as to act as a temporary ally to Gon and Killua. While undoubtedly Hisoka has plenty of hidden motives, it seems that he does genuinely want to see Gon become a worthwhile opponent.
