If you’re wondering when is the best time to buy a Dell XPS 15, then wonder no further as the time is now. Dell is offering the much-praised laptop with £300 off its price tag as part of the company’s Black Friday “Mega Deal”.
So for £1,199 you can get the XPS 15 with a six-core Intel Core i7-9750H processor, which tops out at 4.5Ghz, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage space. The 15in laptop also comes with Nvidia’s 4GB GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card.
So for below £1,200 you can get a machine that will eat up everyday computing tasks with ease, as well as handle video editing and demanding photo manipulation. It will also run games, providing you’re willing to roll your sleeves up to tweak some settings, though Nvidia has the GeForce Experience tool to make that task a bit easier.
The only caveat to this deal is you’ll have to make do with the 15.6in FHD display, rather than a 4K display or the 4K OLED panels Dell equips the more high-end XPS 15 models with. But the 1080p display is still very good and offers 500 nits of brightness which means it can run HDR content.
Despite Dell’s slicing of the original price tag, which sat at £1,499, it’s still offering its suite of customer services, notably a year’s worth of premium support and onsite servicing if something was to go wrong with the XPS 15 in its first 12 months of use.
